Vision 2020 Student Support Fund

The need among our students for financial assistance is far greater than ever before. Campion’s student population has changed from 5% primary school entrants in 1999 to 35% in 2011 and, while the school is proud that these exceptionally bright students have been placed at Campion, this change has had an impact on our financial situation. For example, in our 2012/13 academic year, over 200 students were unable to pay the modest auxiliary fee of J$20,500. In addition, every year the school is called upon to assist at least 50 of these students with all their educational needs—fees, books, uniforms, transportation and meals. For all of these talented, eager students, this assistance could be the difference between taking up their well-earned place at Campion and not attending school at all.

It is for this reason that we have launched the Vision 2020 Student Support Fund to reach out to parents and alumni who recognise the value of a Campion education in transforming a child’s future. Our named scholarships start at J$50,000, however there are also opportunities starting at only J$1000 to assist a student in need.
