About the H.S.A.

The Campion College Home School Association (H.S.A.) was formed by Campion’s first Headmaster Rev. Samuel Carter, S.J., who served from January 1960-4. The H.S.A.’s objectives are to:

• Support the school’s development plan through fundraising and the provision of advice and guidance to the administration
  
• Represent the parent body to the administration on matters relating to the school’s operations and performance
  

Campion parents are encouraged to get involved by attending association meetings and volunteering your time to the planning and execution of events and fundraisers as well as donating items needed. There is also an annual membership contribution of J$500 which is required of all parents at the start of the academic year and is added to the auxiliary fee voucher provided by the school.

In support of the school’s ongoing Vision 2020 Campaign, the H.S.A. is focused on organizing activities and events which will benefit the Campaign. In addition, the H.S.A. assists with the ongoing needs of the Guidance Department’s Breakfast Club which is open to all students and provides a free meal to those who would have gone without.

The Association holds its Annual General Meeting and elections in June of every year. The current president for the 2011-12 academic year is Mrs. Odette Dixon-Neath. Also on the executive are: Michelle Henry. Secretary; Dr Paul Maragh, Treasurer; Janine Lyew, immediate past president; Maureen Williams; Julette HoSang; Lesley Morris; Ingrid Walker; Melissa Lowe; Gillian Haughton; Vicky Meeks; Julette Hosang; Adriana Mair; Paula Chen-See; Caroline Mahfood; Margo Jameson and Jefferine Ruddock Stubbs. Representing the school are Grace Baston, Principal, Sheila Barrett and Lavare Henry, Vice Principals, Suzanne Barton, teachers’ representative; and Ashley Rousseau, Director of Development & Alumni Affairs.
